Marvel’s ‘Hawkeye’ and ‘The Incident’ to premiere exclusively on Disney+

Marvel plans to premiere “Hawkeye” and a new series about Peter Parker’s parents, “The Incident,” exclusively on Disney+.

The two series will be the first original programming to debut on Disney+. The streaming service, set to debut in 2019, will include the majority of Disney’s titles, including Pixar, Lucasfilm, and Marvel Studios films, among others.

“Marvel’s Hawkeye,” created by showrunner Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen (“Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”), stars fans favorite actor Jeremy Renner, who is currently appearing in “Avengers: Infinity War” and “The Bourne Legacy” (2010). Renner will play Clint Barton, formerly known as Hawkeye, and will be joined by his lifelong pal, Ronin (played by “Hawkeye” series co-writer, former “Stargate SG-1” star Neil Brown Jr.). Also appearing are Elizabeth Henstridge as Mockingbird, Luke Mitchell as Luke Cage, Alfred Molina as Doctor Doom, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, and Judy Greer as Agent Sitwell.

“The Incident” is set to debut in 2020 and is described as “an epic murder mystery that recounts the origins of Spider-Man.”
